The idyllic surroundings of Hamperden Hall provide the perfect backdrop for your day. We have restored the spectacular Victorian threshing barn into a magnificent open space for you, your family and friends to celebrate.
Hamperden Hall, also known as New Amberden Hall, dates back to 1670. You’ll enjoy the freedom and privacy of exclusive hire, with Ponds Cottage beside the barn and a lovely meadow for guests to wander or children to play football.
Our spacious green surroundings offer a naturally beautiful setting for your photographs, against the historic Grade II* listed hall and the verdant landscape.
What is included
The spectacular barn comfortably seats up to 140 guests for your ceremony, allowing for the grand piano and stage. There’s the Nuptial Room to prepare for the dramatic entrance. A marquee can be added at extra cost, with room for 150 at the wedding breakfast and the reception. As well as your flowers and menu, you choose the furnishings and hire equipment to suit your style.

Our florist produces the most elegant floral displays, and our caterers and waiting staff are on hand to plan delicious menus and give a professional, friendly service for large and more intimate weddings alike.
You can, of course, choose your own florists, caterers and other providers. All we ask is that they are professional and experienced.
A base for the wedding party
In the grounds, our bridal cottage gives the wedding party a comfortable place to settle in, get ready and organise the day. It is also a good base for the children when it all gets too much for the little people.

Take the time to see your ideas come together. Even the confetti can be picked and dried for your day. We will help, and the team we can offer are experts in these events.
